Normal skin: Balanced skin. Neither dry nor oily. Feels firm and is finely textured with no visible pores, spots or blemishes. Soft to the touch.
Dry skin: Generally feels taut after washing. Reddened or inflamed skin.
May be very sensitive. Prone to peeling, flakiness and itchiness during times of stress. Easily dehydrated by the sun, wind and indoor air. Can be caused by menopause and hormonal changes.
Oily skin: Shiny skin. Large pores. Caused by overactive sebaceous glands. A condition exacerbated by harsh soaps and alcohol-based astringent products which cause the skin to produce more oil to protect itself. Gentle toning is recommended.
